If the delivery is not possible, because you are not personally present when DHL arrives, DHL can give the parcel to someone in your house.
If there is nobody present in your house, DHL will leave a pickup notification. The parcel may be picked up within 10 days at your local DHL office. You may also give a legal authority to someone who should pick the parcel up for you.

If the delivery is not possible, because you are not personally present, the UPS driver will try to deliver your parcel another two times on the following days.

With FedEx, we can only ship to countries other than Germany. If you are not present at the first delivery attempt, FedEx will try a second delivery attempt (private address) or even two delivery attempts (company address).
If a parcel is delivered within Europe, it is possible that FedEx hands over the parcel to a neighbor or delivers it to a collecting point, which is determined by you.
